Welcome to Locals Only, my clothing business. I hand-make every garment from start to finish, taking care of the whole manufacturing process.
By putting thought into each step of the process it means that each garment is made with care and produces an item of quality that will last.
Locals Only provides an option to return items that have been damaged with wear to have them repaired.
The aim of providing a repair service is to extend the life of a garment for as long as possible, in an effort to reduce fast fashion waste.
Each Garment is made to order – sewing only begins once your order has been placed, rather than being pre-made.
This allows you to customize the colours of your garment as a one-off item, creating it just how you want it.
Locals Only donates 15% of all profits to charities and non-profit organisations. The business aims to provide support for those that need it.
Current organisations include Mercy Ships, World Vision, and UNICEF.
The whole manufacturing process is kept in NZ rather than exporting it overseas. Locals Only sources fabric from NZ fabric wholesalers, choosing to keep business as local as possible.
Current Material sources include Frost Textiles Ltd., Chris Barlow Textiles, Lincraft, Wishcraft, and Moreland Fabrics.
